Fargo - Many Other Things

Released Dec 2025

Hailing from Croatia, Fargo’s quartet of musicians delivers a punchy four song EP that exhibits strong emotion vocally and instrumentally. For the group’s first project, Many Other Things is beyond its years in terms of musical maturity. From heartbreaking saxophone bridges on Telegraph to cacophonous vocal harmonies on Mascherano Scores a Penalty, this album checks almost every box. Despite not being a part of the UK Windmill scene, Fargo feels like another North Star in that sound.

Westside Cowboy - So Much Country ‘Till we Get There

Released Jan 2026

Following their strong 2025 EP This Better Be Something Great, UK’s Westside Cowboy finds themselves on the verge of a promising 2026. This project opens with a beautiful slow confessional on Strange Taxidermy which then ventures into the classic teeming ballads on Can’t See and Don’t Throw Rocks. Like this EP’s cover, Westside Cowboy is loaded in a slingshot, ready to be propelled into the alternative zeitgeist an opening for Geese on their Europe tour will likely only accelerate this trajectory.

doggone

2025 Singles

doggone has shown a conspicuous ability to write complex songs about the intricacies of life. doggone has an interesting character William that both haunts and comforts his music. He could be the one you find solace in hanging with or the one who signals the most disenchanting moments of life. These songs evoke this feeling of not knowing where you are or where you might go — but that’s okay.

For only releasing a few singles last year, doggone’s sound feels developed and full of direction + purpose. William is chaotic and tragic, Cells proclaims eternal love, Sibeeria pleads about dejection from love, and Unforgiven is the amalgamation of the three previous. His upcoming full length project will likely become one of the most impressive projects of the year.

Victoryland - My Heart is a room with no candle in it

Released Jan 2026

Brooklyn based Julian Mccamman steps out from his former group Blood and delivers a full-length album dense with creative choices that achieve a punchy, yet melodic album. The project’s title is declared emphatically on the standout track No Cameras as the instrumentation fills the background with winding and wailing strings. Keep Me Around summates a cacophonous first minute 30 with a gorgeous closing ballad that feels like a Chris Martin feature. This project’s depth intensifies after each listen. Early contender for Nero’s 2026 list.

Masquerade - Cardinals (singles)

Upcoming Album

The Irish keep delivering. Cardinals’ first five singles for their upcoming project Masquerade hint towards this album breaking many hearts. I Like You is tragic, truly. The drum breaks perfectly encapsulate how euphoric it can be to finally say the things you want to say - but you never will. As if you’re reading a journal, this song’s lyrics call upon every feeling within a tear stained page.
